A man has been charged after a serious assault near the city centre.
West Mercia police have said that the man has been charged with attempted murder following an incident in Moorfield Street, Hereford on Wednesday 9 October.
Bryan Robson, aged 49 , of Moorfield Street appeared at Kidderminster Magistrates Court this morning (11 October) and has been remanded in custody to appear at Worcester Crown Court on Monday 11 November.
The statement from the force added that a 42-year-old man remains in hospital in a stable condition.
A police cordon was put in place in the street on Wednesday afternoon, which is near the Old Market shopping centre after officers were called to reports that two men had sustained knife injuries at a property in the street.
Firearms officers and paramedics were also in attendance at the Hereford residential street, with the incident remaining ongoing through the evening.
