A MAN caught driving a Transit van in Hereford was more than four times the drug-drive limit, a court heard.
Richard West entered guilty pleas to two counts of driving a motor vehicle with a proportion of a specified controlled drug above the specified limit when he appeared before magistrates in Hereford last month.
He was caught by police in Ross Road, Hereford, on May 14 with two drugs in his system.
Magistrates heard that West had both delta-9-tetrahydrocannabinol, a cannabinoid, and benzoylecgonine, a metabolite of cocaine, in his blood.
West, who was in a silver Ford Transit, was over the legal driving limit for both drugs, the court was told by prosecutor Camila Toscano.
He was given a blood test to check for traces of drugs, and evidence showed he had 2.5 microgrammes (mg) of delta-9-tetrahydrocannabinol and 208 mg of benzoylecgonine in his blood. The limits are two and 50 respectively.
