WE went on a mission to drink in 17 pubs across Hereford as part of the 2024 Bull Trail.

We visited the 17 pubs over two days as part of Hereford City Life's annual Bull Trail, a celebration of the city's pubs and bars.

On completion of the trail, we were each given a 2024 Bull Trail t-shirt.

These were the venues we went to, and what we thought of each.

The Courtyard

The Beefy Boys

The Wellington

We then hopped over the road to the Wellington. The pub was showing horse racing, with punters gathering round to watch.

The Cosy Club

The Jam Factory

The Imperial Inn

Next up was the Imperial Inn, which is well worth a visit for its beer garden alone.

Hereford Beer House

We then went to see what Hereford Beer House was all about. It had an extraordinary selection of world beers.

The Bookshop

We headed to the Bookshop and enjoyed a drink outside in the Yard, which had a fantastic atmosphere.

Lichfield Vaults

We headed to Lichfield Vaults and once again sat outside with our drinks. The Lich is a fantastic pub with plenty of character.

The Barrels

Onto day two of the trail, we went to a Hereford favourite: the Barrels. The venue was hosting Oktoberfest, with the pub decked out for the occasion.

Gordon Bennetts

We enjoyed some drinks at Gordon Bennetts, which had a great amount of space for those who fancy a dance!

Two Bridges

The Commercial

We then went to the Commercial, a sports bar with plenty of screens and space.

The Kings Fee

Our next port of call was the Kings Fee, Hereford's Wetherspoons pub. This has a lovely big beer garden and the usual choice of drinks everyone expects from a Spoons.

Hogarths

Next door to the Kings Fee is Hogarths, which has loads of space both inside and out, and a great vibe.

Queens Arms

The Queens Arms was a small pub with a friendly welcome as we took a seat in a snug corner.

The Black Lion

We rounded off our adventure at the Black Lion, which had a great feel and was right up our street.

The Spread

We would have rounded off our adventure at the Spread, but unfortunately it was closed at the time.

Overall, the Bull Trail is a great way to explore the city, even for us as people who have lived in Herefordshire for most of our lives.

But what was equally good was visiting pubs I've never been in before."

My fellow reporter Julia Baker added: "The Bull Trail was a chance to explore some pubs I've never found the time to visit, and certainly gave me a few new spots I'd return to."

This year's trail finished on October 14, but we'll definitely be checking it out again next year.
