A DRIVER caught out in a Herefordshire town while over twice the limit has been banned from the roads.
Ciaran Haverty, of Turton Road, Tipton, appeared before magistrates on September 25 and entered a guilty plea to one count of driving while over the alcohol limit.
The court heard from prosecutor Camila Toscano that the 24-year-old was caught out in Leominster’s Corn Square after getting behind the wheel of a blue VW Golf while over the alcohol limit on July 13.

An evidential breath test revealed that Haverty, who was not represented at the hearing by a solicitor, had 86 microgrammes (mg) of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath, over twice the limit of 35 mg.
Haverty was disqualified from driving for 20 months and was fined £120.
Magistrates in Hereford said they took his guilty plea into account when imposing the sentence.
He was also ordered to pay prosecution costs of £85 and a £48 victim surcharge, which is used to help fund services supporting victims of crime.
