A HEREFORD support group has been hailed as community healthcare heroes at the Hereford Times Health and Social Care Awards 2024.
Hereford Men's Mental Health Group won the mental health award, which recognises the care and treatment of mental health within Herefordshire.
Paul Stevens, on behalf of the group, said: "It's incredible. This is the third time we have won since 2019. We really weren't expecting it tonight."

The mental health group is a safe, non-judgemental space for men experiencing or recovering from mental health problems like anxiety, social isolation, low mood and substance abuse. It offers an innovative approach of mutual support and a warm welcome and is open to any local men who are struggling.
The award was open to groups, carers, nurses or doctors and the other finalists were We are Farming Minds and Mobile Care and Domestic Services Ltd's Abi Chapman.
The award was sponsored by Milford Research and Consultancy Limited.
