A HEREFORDSHIRE school will be closed for the rest of the week after it was hit by floods.
In an announcement this afternoon, a spokesperson for Peterchurch Primary School said the school will be closed between Wednesday, October 16, to Friday, October 18.
This is due to the extensive flooding of the school building, the spokesperson said, with staff coming to the decision to close the school for the next two days after advice from the fire service.
Firefighters were called to the school earlier today to pump water out of the building.
"It is not currently safe for the children or staff to attend or enter the building," the spokesperson said.
