TWO Herefordshire schools have now confirmed they will be closed for the rest of the week after severe flooding.
In an announcement yesterday, a spokesperson for Peterchurch Primary School said the school will be closed between Wednesday, October 16, to Friday, October 18.
This is due to the extensive flooding of the school building, the spokesperson said, with staff coming to the decision to close the school for the next two days after advice from the fire service.

Firefighters were called to the school on Wednesday to pump water out of the building.
And now a second school has confirmed that it will not be reopening until Monday, October 21.
In an update posted today, Leominster Ivington Primary School said the school and pre-school are closed today, Thursday, and tomorrow, Friday, due to flooding on-site and in the surrounding area.
"We anticipate to be open on Monday, October 21," a school spokesperson said.
Several schools across Herefordshire remain closed today after floods hit the county, with a number of flood warnings still in force across Herefordshire.
