MORE than two weeks of road closures are coming to a busy Herefordshire road.
The closures are planned to allow for major resurfacing works on the B4214 north-west of Bromyard.
Herefordshire Council said the resurfacing works are being carried out as a result of an £8 million investment by the council, with the B4214 identified as being in need of these works.
The works, which will involve the removal f the existing surface, before a new layer is laid, will see the road close from 8am to 5pm daily from November 6 to (and including) November 22 between Ashleigh and Rock Farm.

Where relevant, works will also be carried out to correct other highway defects including drainage, a spokesperson for the council said.
The spokesperson said utility companies have been made aware of the work schedule and that the council will use its statutory powers to refuse all but emergency works and new connections in the area for the next 12 months in order to protect the new road surface.
A fully signed diversion will be signposted locally and access to properties will be maintained, although there may be delays.
