CONSTRUCTION is to recommence on the restoration of an iconic Hereford landmark.
In consultation with the Stronger Hereford Board, Friends of Castle Green CIC (FoCG) has today (October 17 2024) announced the appointment of a new firm, Aspire Building Contractors, to complete the restoration of the Pavilion building in the leafy area.
The statement added that the plan is to have the Pavilion reopen and fully restored by early Summer 2025. The Community Interest Company (CIC) says this represents a slight delay to the original timescales, but they are confident that the final result will be worth the wait.

"In consultation with the Stronger Hereford Board, we will shortly be appointing a new contractor to complete the restoration of the building.
"We hope to have the Pavilion reopen and fully restored by Spring 2025. This represents a slight delay to our original timescales, but the final result will be worth the wait," they added.
The pavilion is undergoing the transformation after it received £1.5 million funding from Stronger Hereford, a series of projects transforming the city thanks to a £22.4 million grant from the Government’s Towns Fund.
