A DRUG-DRIVER caught out in a Herefordshire village has admitted using cannabis before driving.
Jordan Austin entered a guilty plea to one count of driving a motor vehicle with a proportion of a specified controlled drug above the specified limit when he appeared at Hereford Magistrates’ Court earlier this month.
The court heard from prosecuting solicitor Jack Taylor that the 23-year-old had been caught on the B4352 in Madley after getting behind the wheel of a VW Polo while over the drug-driving limit on May 7.

An evidential blood test revealed he had 4.4 microgrammes (mg) of delta-9-tetrahydrocannabinol, a cannabinoid, per litre of blood. The legal limit is two mg.
Austin, of Matilda Close, Leominster, was disqualified from driving for three years. He must also pay a fine of £323, prosecution costs of £85 and a £129 victim surcharge.
His guilty plea was taken into account by magistrates when deciding on his penalty.
