During flooding, the fire service advises to remain calm, turn off your electricity supply and not touch any sources of electricity.
When homes are damaged by flooding, the fire service advises homeowners to contact their insurance as soon as possible, make sure the property is safe before entering and clearing up, and safely cleaning anything that has been in contact with the water.
