Ross-On-Wye Christmas Fayre

(Image: Ross-On-Wye Town Council) The highly-anticipated Ross-On-Wye Christmas Fayre is returning, and it will take place on Sunday, December 1 in the town centre. The event will run between 11 am and 5 pm, with the exciting Christmas lights switch-on scheduled for 4.30 pm.

Visitors to the festive event can expect over 80 stalls selling beautiful gift ideas and treats, as well as plenty of food and drink on offer from a great selection of traders.

The town council have organised some fantastic entertainment including live music from the Border Belles, Erica Jean, Ross Town Band, The Penyard Singers and Noah Rawlings.

This year the town will also be playing host to a group of festive dinosaurs who are looking forward to having a "roarsome" time with visitors.

The Pumpkin King himself, Jack Skellington and his partner Sally, will be visiting the fayre to spread some festive joy.  The Pumpkin King has promised that they won’t try to take over the fayre, however, the organisers have added extra security to Santa’s team just to be on the safe side. Visitors should look out for Santa’s Grotto, which will be at The Venue on Hill Street, along with Art Studio Ross who will be providing the children with lots of craft activities while they wait to see the big man himself.

Comedian Suzi Ruffell at The Courtyard

(Image: PA) The hilariously funny comedian Suzi Ruffell will be coming to The Courtyard Theatre Hereford to perform her new show, The Juggle.

In The Juggle, Ruffell discusses how it's hard to be good all the time. A good mother, a good daughter, a good partner, a good friend, a good person. To be ambitious but not ruthless; a success but not a sell-out. A gentle parent but not a pushover. To be smashing life and make it look easy.

The Juggle is a brand new tour from a confessional multi-award winning show, which has earned Ruffell some rave reviews.

Ruffell has appeared on Live at the Apollo, The Jonathan Ross Show, The Last Leg and QI. Suzi co-hosts smash-hit podcasts Big Kick Energy with Maisie Adam and Like Minded Friends with Tom Allen, as well as having her own podcast, OUT with Suzi Ruffell. She even finds time to host on Virgin Radio. Ruffle's debut book, Am I Having Fun Now? will be released in June 2025.

The comedian will be at The Courtyard on Friday 19 September 2025 from 7.30 pm. Tickets are on sale from £18.00 to £20.00.
