HEREFORD'S Chris McCausland has been saved from being in the Strictly Come Dancing dance-off.
Tonight (November 3) McCausland and his partner Dianne Buswell were told that their performance had secured them a place in the next episode thanks to the public vote.
McCausland, who is originally from Liverpool, previously lived in Hereford and attended the Royal National College for the Blind.
McCausland said the pair had to "try and stay in for two more episodes", so that his partner Buswell's parents could watch them dance when they come to the UK from Australia later this month.
Who will be revealed this week is yet to be revealed later in the episode.
Last night (November 2), McCausland and Buswell took to the dancefloor to perform a tango to Rock and Roll All Nite by Kiss.
Dressed in full Kiss-inspired makeup and outfits, they picked up a score of 29.

McCausland, 47, is Strictly's first blind contestant ever. He lost his eyesight in his early 20s as a result of retinitis pigmentosa, a hereditary condition. The diagnosis prompted a career change from his previous job in web development to become a comedian.
He studied at the Hereford specialist college and even returned in 2022 to mark its 105th anniversary with a show at the Courtyard in Hereford.
He is known to television audiences for his role as Rudi in the CBeebies show Me Too, and regularly appears at comedy venues around the UK.
