She was charged after two police officers were assaulted in Ledbury on January 8, according to prosecuting solicitor Lauren Millichip for the Crown Prosecution Service.
Higgs, represented in court by defence solicitor Matthew Lewis, was handed a 12-month community order in which she must attend up to 20 days of rehabilitation appointments. The order would have been for nine months, but because she assaulted police officers, it was increased by magistrates to 12 months.
She must pay each of the officers £50 in compensation. She was also fined £75.
She was not ordered to pay any prosecution costs to allow compensation to take priority, but she must pay a government-mandated victim surcharge of £114.
