HUNDREDS of violent and sexual offences were reported in Herefordshire in September.
New data published by data.police.uk shows that 364 violent and sexual offences were reported to West Mercia police in September.
This statistic has fallen since August 2024, when 422 offences of the same nature were reported.
Reports of antisocial behaviour in the county have also fallen, with 142 offences recorded by West Mercia Police in September compared to 192 in August.
The third most frequently reported offence in Herefordshire was shoplifting, which had retained its position from the August data. In August 102 offences were reported, however, this has again fallen, with 77 reported in September.

Other crimes that saw a decrease in reports being made included; criminal damage and arson, public order offences, and burglary.
The least reported crimes in the county were theft from a person and robbery, both with seven offences recorded, and possession of weapons with 11 offences reported.
