THE identity of a man found dead in an Elan Valley reservoir remains a mystery, with police hunting for information that could help name him.
The body, which police have confirmed is of a man aged between 30 and 60, was found in the Claerwen Reservoir at the famous beauty spot, which is a popular walking location among people from Herefordshire.
He was found on Friday, October 18, after Dyfed-Powys Police received a call from a member of the public who had seen a body in the water just before 8.30am, but could have been there for some time before the discovery.
Senior investigating officer detective inspector Anthea Ponting thanked those who have already come forward with information.
“Following a post-mortem, I can confirm that the body is a man, aged between 30 and 60 years old," she said.
