A VAN driver has been handed a ban and a hefty fine after he was caught in Hereford while over the alcohol limit.
Kyle Ellis entered a guilty plea when he appeared before magistrates in Hereford on October 9.
The court heard from prosecutor Lauren Millichip that the 24-year-old had been caught behind the wheel of a VW Caddy in College Road in Hereford while over the limit on August 10.
An evidential breath test revealed he had 68 micrograms (mg) of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath. This exceeded the limit, which is 35 mg.
Ellis, of Queensway, Hereford, was represented in court by defence solicitor George Cousins of the law firm GC Law.

He must also pay costs of £85 and a £160 victim surcharge.
