A DRIVER caught out in Herefordshire while over the cannabis limit has been banned from the roads.
Ruby Northover-Bryan, of New Road, Cardiff, appeared before magistrates on October 10 after entering a guilty plea to one count of driving while over the specified limit of a specified controlled drug.
The court heard from prosecuting solicitor Thomas Wickstead that the 23-year-old was caught on the A40 in Whitchurch after getting behind the wheel of a Volkswagen Golf while over the cannabis limit on May 31.
An evidential blood test revealed that Northover-Bryan, who was represented at the hearing by defence solicitor George Cousins, had 2.8 micrograms (mg) of delta-9-tetrahydrocannabinol in one litre of blood, exceeding the limit of two mg.

She was also ordered to pay court costs of £85 and a £64 victim surcharge, which is used to help fund services supporting victims of crime.
