AN ATTEMPTED burglary in a Herefordshire residential area saw a lock forced in an attempt to gain access to a property, police have said.
Officers are appealing for information following the attempted burglary in Westgate in Leominster on Monday morning (November 4).

A police spokesperson said: "Around 2.40am somebody attempted to gain access to a property by forcing the outer lock of a door.
"Officers investigating would like to speak to anybody who may have seen any suspicious activity in the area.
"Please contact Police Constable Cen Harris by emailing cen.harris@westmecia.police.uk.
"Alternatively, if you have information but don’t feel comfortable speaking to police, you can speak to the independent charity Crimestoppers. It is 100% anonymous, they never ask your name, and they cannot trace your call or IP address. You can contact them online or by calling 0800 555 111."
Westgate is a residential area on the outskirts of Leominster.
