FIRE CREWS from Herefordshire have been at the scene of a devastating fire in Abergavenny, which has ripped through a building.
Last night (November 10) police and fire crews were called to Frogmore Street after receiving a report of a fire at the back of the Magic Cottage charity shop at around 8.35 pm.
The fire has caused extensive damage to the building causing a collapse to the first and second floors, and roof of the building, and crews working arduously to prevent further spread to neighbouring properties. A number of nearby properties were evacuated, however, there are no reports of any injuries.

In a Facebook post, Peterchurch Fire Station said that they were called to assist the South Wales Fire and Rescue Service in a building fire. Crews supported fire ground operations by ferrying water to the incident and returned to the station at 05:00 am "ready for breakfast and a coffee".
As of this afternoon, police remain at the scene, with the cordon having been extended as some of the buildings are at risk of falling down.
