A VANDAL was given a restraining order and told to pay compensation after he admitted smashing a window worth £300.

Marley Hodges, aged 23, of no fixed address, entered a guilty plea to one count of criminal damage to property under £5,000 before magistrates in relation to an incident in October 12. He was handed a community order and told to pay compensation of £300 and other court costs.

Prosecuting solicitor Camila Toscano said that Hodges damaged a basement-level window to the value of approximately £300, intending to destroy or damage such property or being reckless as to whether such property would be destroyed or damaged.
