Firefighters were called to a farmhouse in Ocle Pychard last night (November 11) to put out the fire and investigate its cause.
Four properties lost power as a result of the fire, according to National Grid.
A spokesperson for Hereford and Worcester Fire and Rescue Service said: "Two crews from Hereford were called at 8.31pm on November 11 to smoke issuing at a farmhouse in Ocle Pychard. There was a smell of burning on the ground floor of a two-storey farmhouse, around 10 metres by eight metres, with investigations carried out. A fire was located in a storage cupboard and extinguished. Electrics were isolated and National Grid requested to attend. A fire investigation deemed the fire to be accidental ignition. There were no casualties. The incident was marked as pending closure at 11.06pm."
A National Grid Electricity Distribution spokesperson said: "Owing to a fire at a property in Ocle Pychard on the evening of November 11, we had to isolate the electricity supply to four properties as a safety precaution while the fire services undertook their work. All properties were restored within two hours, and we'd like to thank customers for their patience yesterday evening."
