LOOKING for something to do in Herefordshire? Never fear, there is plenty to keep all ages entertained!
Here is our pick of some of Herefordshire's upcoming events.
Jack and the Beans Talk
Garlic Theatre, will be returning to The Courtyard this January with the exciting children's show, Jack and the Beans Talk.
Jack lives on a small farm with his mum and very little to eat. He likes to talk to the birds, his cow and anyone who will listen. Imagine his surprise when he swaps his cow for some magic beans and starts to hear a whispering in the breeze and a giant rumble in the sky.
Jack and the Beans Talk has been described as a fresh and funny retelling of the traditional story and an ideal gentle introduction to theatre for ages three to eight.
The show features plenty of interaction, an enormous beanstalk, bags of gold and a smelly old giant, and is a cautionary tale about what might happen if you throw things out of the window.
Jack and the Beans Talk will be in The Courtyard’s Studio Theatre on Saturday, January 25 at 11am. To book tickets, or for more information contact the Box Office on 01432 340555 or visit www.courtyard.org.uk.
An evening with record-breaking polar adventurer
Louis Rudd MBE is a record-breaking polar adventurer, expedition leader, former Royal Marine Commando and SAS soldier, with 34 years of service.
He was the first – and only – person to have traversed Antarctica twice using human power alone, has reached the South Pole six times from different coastal start points and summited Antarctica’s highest mountain.
He is a member of the exclusive Explorers Club, a Fellow of the Royal Geographical Society, an Ambassador for the Army Benevolent Fund and Director of Expeditions for Shackleton.
The show is a joint fundraiser for the Hereford Veteran Support Centre (HVSC) and The Courtyard.
HVSC was established to provide a one-stop shop of support and a friendly listening ear for anyone in the armed forces community. HVSC works in partnership with a series of organisations, local military charities and volunteers. It is aiming to develop its network of volunteers so it can expand its services further and reach out to a greater number of people.

Country Superstars
Any local fans of Dolly Parton and country music will be thrilled to know that Country Superstars, as seen on London's West End, will be coming to The Courtyard this spring.
Endorsed by Dolly Parton on the BBC One Show and described by Kenny Rogers as “Europe’s leading Dolly and Kenny” this truly unique show is hosted by the star of the show The Dolly Parton Experience, most recently seen on ITV’s Game of Talents.
Dolly star Sarah Jayne has been performing as Dolly Parton for 30 years and is Europe’s leading tribute to the Queen of Country. Joined by award-winning TV vocal impersonator Andy Crust, audiences will be taken on a journey back through time to meet the most influential icons to have shaped country music history.
Each artist not only looks and sounds like the country star they portray, but these professional performers also transform themselves through hours of practice at their craft. Every detail is taken into consideration from script, choice of songs, hair, make-up, and mannerisms, as well as professional costumes, props and Video backdrops.
Audiences can enjoy an evening of hits including 9 to 5, The Gambler, Islands in the Stream, Stand by Your Man, Ring of Fire, Crazy, Jolene, Take Me Home Country Roads, Man! I Feel Like a Woman, Rhinestone Cowboy and many more.
The exciting country-themed night will be held on January 31 from 7.30pm.
