STRICTLY star Chris McCausland has again wowed on the hit BBC One show, falling just short of a perfect score with his version of the foxtrot.

Dancing alongside professional partner Dianne Buswell, the former Hereford student really impressed the judges on this evening's Blackpool special show.

Hosted in the famous Tower Ballroom, the show saw Strictly's first blind contestant draw praise from all four judges.

Shirley Ballas told the pair that only the best feet belong in the iconic ballroom. "And your feet were the best feet I've seen in a long time," she said, branding the performance "phenomenal".

Anton Du Beke said the dance was "exquisite", praising Chris' movements as "exemplary".

"If anything can beat this tonight I will be amazed," he said.

Hard-to-please Craig Revel Horwood picked up on a number of faults, as ever, criticising Chris for being slightly ahead of getting into the line and his arm extensions for lacking finesse, among other things, but said Chris' frame has improved and that he thought it was "brilliant" overall.

And Motsi Mabuse was blown away by the performance.

"What a way to open the show," she said, praising the "beautiful dancing".

With an eight from Craig Revel Horwood, a nine from Motsi Mabuse, and 10s from Shirley Ballas and Anton Du Beke, Chris and Dianne walked away with an impressive score of 37.

McCausland, who is originally from Liverpool, previously lived in Hereford and attended the Royal National College for the Blind.
