A VAN man has been banned from the roads after he was caught driving while almost twice the limit in Herefordshire.
Steven Clarke entered a guilty plea to one count of driving a motor vehicle while over the drug limit when he appeared before magistrates in Kidderminster last month.
The court heard that the 67-year-old had been caught out on the A40 in Ross-on-Wye, Herefordshire, on October 2 last year after getting behind the wheel of a Ford Transit while over the drug-drive limit.

An evidential blood test revealed that he had 3.4 microgrammes (mg) of delta-9-tetrahydrocannabinol per litre of blood, which is almost double the limit of two mg.
Clarke, of Nantyderi, Velindre, Powys, was banned from driving for 12 months. He was also ordered to pay a £294 fine, £400 in prosecution costs and a £118 victim surcharge.
Magistrates took his guilty plea into account when imposing this penalty.
