A DRUG-DRIVER has been handed a ban and a community order after she was caught over the limit twice in just a week.
Tina Parry entered guilty pleas to two counts of driving a motor vehicle with a proportion of a specified controlled drug above the limit.
The court heard from prosecuting solicitor Lauren Millichip that the 35-year-old had been caught behind the wheel of a Renault Megane in Broad Street, Hereford, while over the drug-drive limit on July 6. She was then caught again in Brampton Road, Ross-on-Wye, six days later.
The first time she was caught, a blood test revealed she had up to 396 microgrammes (mg) of benzoylecgonine in her blood. The second time, she had 32 mg of cocaine in her blood.
Benzoylecgonine is a metabolite of cocaine and has previously been described in court as the “leftovers” of cocaine use.
The legal driving limit for benzoylecgonine is 50 mg, while the limit for cocaine is 10 mg.

She was also handed an 18-month community order in which she must attend up to eight days of rehabilitation activities per offence.
She was not ordered to pay any costs.
