A DRUG-DRIVER has been handed a ban and a fine after he was caught over the limit in a Herefordshire village.
Ashley Richards entered a guilty plea to one count of driving a motor vehicle with a proportion of a specified controlled drug above the limit.
The court heard from prosecuting solicitor Lauren Millichip that the 30-year-old had been caught behind the wheel of a red Peugeot on the B4224 in Mordiford while over the drug-drive limit on June 8.
An evidential blood test revealed he had 4.4 microgrammes (mg) of delta-9-tetrahydrocannabinol per litre of blood.
The legal driving limit for this drug is two mg.
