A HEREFORDSHIRE man has been banned from the road for 16 months after admitting drink-driving and failing to stop at a crash.
Joel Strangwood, of Green Elms, Eardisland, appeared before Hereford Magistrates’ Court on October 16.
Strangwood entered guilty pleas to one count of failing to stop after a road accident, one count of driving a motor vehicle while over the alcohol limit, one count of driving a motor vehicle otherwise than in accordance with a licence and one count of using a motor vehicle on a road or public place without third party insurance.
The court heard that the 28-year-old failed to stop driving his BMW after a crash on the A465 in Ocle Pychard on August 24.
A later breath test showed that Strangwood had 49 micrograms (mg) of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath.
