A DRINK-DRIVER has appeared in court, where he was handed a compulsory driving ban and a hefty fine.
The drink-driving limit for breath is 35 micrograms (mg) per 100 millilitres of breath, but Oliver Clarke was caught with 40 mg of alcohol in his breath while behind the wheel of a Mercedes in Ross-on-Wye.
Clarke, 35, of Pearmain Garden, Hagley, Stourbridge, was caught out on the A40 in Ross-on-Wye on August 18, according to prosecuting solicitor Lauren Millichip.
He was represented in court by George Cousins, the duty solicitor.

Clarke was disqualified from driving for 12 months and fined £430 after entering a guilty plea to one count of driving a motor vehicle while over the alcohol level when he appeared at Hereford Magistrates’ Court last month.
He must also pay prosecution costs of £85 and a £172 victim surcharge.
He must pay off his court bill in monthly instalments starting this month.
