AN ABUSIVE homeless man caused thousands of pounds of damage to a homeless shelter in Hereford.
Steven Daniels broke a window worth £2,000 and damaged plant pots worth £50 at Pomona Place, which provides accommodation for homeless people in Hereford.
Daniels, 34, has been ordered to contribute to the cost of the damage, which totalled £2,050.
At Hereford Magistrates' Court on October 15, Daniels entered guilty pleas to two counts of criminal damage to property under £5,000. He also pleaded guilty to one count of using threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour with intent to cause fear of or provoke violence.

Pomona Place houses single homeless people with complex needs, including ex-offenders and people with substance misuse or mental health needs. Only those with a local connection to Herefordshire are allowed to stay there.
Residents have to be referred by a housing team and can stay for up to two years.
There is space for 31 homeless people, plus an "emergency crash pad".
Daniels is of no fixed address, and court documents do not state whether he was a resident in the accommodation at the time of the incident on August 20.
He is now said to be in the care of West Mercia Police.
