A DRIVER has been banned from the roads for 17 months after admitting a drink-driving offence before Hereford magistrates.
Archie Mountain, 20, of Bodenham, pleaded guilty to driving with a breath level of 84 micrograms (mg) of alcohol, the legal limit being 35, in Hereford on August 11.
Prosecuting solicitor Lauren Millichip said Mountain had been caught while driving a Volkswagen Caddy in Commercial Road in Hereford.
Mountain’s defence solicitor for the Hereford hearing last month was Abbey Washbourne of Kidwells.

Magistrates banned him from the roads for 17 months with an obligatory driving disqualification preventing him from holding a licence. He was also fined a total of £143, with the addition of £85 prosecution costs and a £57 government-mandated victim surcharge.
His guilty plea was taken into account by magistrates when they imposed the sentence.
A collection order was made by the court for the fine, with Mountain ordered to pay the court bill off within a month.
