A HOMELESS man has admitted harassing a woman after he stood outside her Hereford home and watched her, and repeatedly messaged and called her.
Gavin Marsden entered a guilty plea to one count of harassment without violence when he appeared before magistrates in Hereford last month.
The court heard from prosecuting solicitor Lauren Millichip that the 55-year-old had harassed a woman by messaging and calling her repeatedly after being told not to, turning up at her home uninvited numerous times and parking outside her home, standing outside and watching her, from January 20 to March 10.
Marsden, who is of no fixed address, was fined £320 and must pay prosecution costs of £85 and a £128 victim surcharge.

Magistrates originally wanted to sentence Marsden to a community order, but said that he “lives outside the court’s jurisdiction” so handed him the fine instead.
Although he told the court he had no fixed address, he is noted on court documents to be based in Quay Lane, Earls Croome, Worcester.
He was not ordered to pay the victim compensation because magistrates felt that it would “only serve to remind her” of the offence and she “wishes to move on”.
