HEREFORDSHIRE fire crews have spent the day battling floods across the county, including in their own fire station.
Peterchurch Fire Station has said that following the floods caused by Storm Bert today (November 24), they have spent the day attending a range of water rescue incidents, including rescuing persons from vehicles, a woman on a bike, and conducting welfare checks across the county.
The Fire Station added that they were also involved in flooding operations at their own station, assisting in salvage and tidying up after flood water entered through the front doors.
In a post on Facebook, Hereford Fire Station said that it had been a busy day for the crews, after being dispatched to flooding and water-related rescues across the county.
