PARKING and waiting will be banned in places on a number of roads in Hereford from next month.
A prohibition of waiting order has been made by Herefordshire Council, imposing restrictions on various roads in the Eign Hill area of the city.
The roads affected include Old Eign Hill, Vineyard Road, Hafod Road, Brookside, Lichfield Avenue, Sedgefield Road, Dymond Close, Chartwell Road, Bladon Crescent, Blenheim Close, Bodenham Road, Ledbury Road, Quarry Road, and the Ledbury road service roads.

Herefordshire Council said that it had made the order to introduce no waiting at any time restrictions on parts of these roads after consultation with the chief officer of police.
The order will come into effect on December 2, said a notice published this week by Herefordshire Council.
The various double-yellow line restrictions will cover a variety of spots, including junctions, corners, the ends of cul-de-sacs, and some stretches of straight road in the area.

Maps of the new restrictions are visible on the Herefordshire Council website.
Herefordshire Council said the restrictions are necessary to avoid danger to people and other traffic using the roads, to preserve and improve the amenity of the area, and to secure the "expeditious, convenient and safe movement of traffic".
They will also prevent vehicles causing obstructions by parking opposite each other on either side of the road, and improve visibility and safety by preventing vehicles parking close to junctions, the council said.
A number of exemptions will apply, including for emergency vehicles.
