A dearly-missed Herefordshire pub could be getting a new lease of life after being been put on the market.

The Broadleys pub in Hereford's Ross Road is up for sale with agents Sidney Phillips, with a price tag of £395,000.

The city pub is advertised as having public and lounge bars, a catering kitchen, seven-bedroom accommodation, a beer patio, and a car park.

According to CAMRA, the pub large two-bar 1930s pub was built in a then "rapidly expanding part of the city" and became a community pub serving a wide area south of the Wye, offering dart nights and karaoke sessions.

This is not the first time the future of the pub has been uncertain. It was previously saved in 2019 after plans to demolish the building and replace it with a Co-op store were threatened.

Herefordshire Council planners rejected the scheme, and the building’s then owners, Hawthorn Leisure, said they would invest in refurbishing the pub.
