The Hop Pocket Shopping Village is unique.

It is a collection of independent family run shops offering an alternative to both the high street and characterless out of town shopping. Spread over a number of old agricultural buildings, including some large hop drying kilns on two levels connected by three staircases and a lift.

The buildings are under one roof and the car park is large, free and no distance at all. In the winter the shops are kept warm and toastie by the large biomass boiler, in the summer a lot of the electricity comes from the solar panels. One name for it is rural destination shopping, its different and they have something for everyone!

Across the covered courtyard you’ll find outfits and footwear for ladies and gents, as well as children’s clothes, with affordable, beautiful furniture and interiors. Up the wooden stairs, or the lift, the room opens into an enormous range of wooden and traditional toys, around one corner gift books and in another books for children.

When one gets parched the farmhouse family restaurant is at the heart of the site with fresh coffee and tea, freshly made lunches, our famous homemade scrumptious cakes, and a large well fenced play area. The secret is out about their wonderful freshly fried fish on Fridays, and Sunday roasts with big Yorkshire puddings!

The largest selection of local beers, ciders, perries, spirits and wines, as well as those from further afield.  There is fresh bread and pastries, cheeses, smoked fish and pates. There is a wonderful garden centre, which is well stocked with good quality plants and wind chimes. Look out for the fantastic hair salon and treatment room that welcomes walk ins!

The Hop Pocket is a rural shopping destination that can be found 12 miles out from Hereford on the A4103 Worcester road.
