Fire crews were called to a busy Herefordshire A road after an animal had become trapped.

Crews from Hereford Fire Station were called shortly after 10.30am on November 26, to rescue a small animal from the water on the A438 at Lugwardine Bridge.

The spokesperson for Hereford and Worcester Fire and Rescue Service added that five sheep had been moved to safety by a member of the public.

There were no casualties, and no other emergency services were required at the incident.
