A building in the middle of Hereford could be the latest to be turned into flats.
A Ms H Rodgers has applied to have the use of 6a St Owen Street, two doors down from the landmark Town Hall, changed from business to residential use.
Currently occupied by a health and beauty salon, the two-storey property sits directly above a betting shop which would not be affected by the change.

Plans submitted with her application show the property being split vertically to create single-bedroom flats front and rear.
A current treatment room with a bay window overlooking the street would become the bedroom of the front flat, while the flat to the rear, with its bedroom upstairs, would have small terraces off both floors.

The property does not appear to be heritage listed, though several of its neighbours are.
There have been numerous recent bids to convert commercial properties in the city to flats, which are generally looked on favourably by planners as providing smaller affordable accommodation in a sustainable location.
Comments in the current application for change of use can be made until December 20.
