The court heard from Transi, a transport investigation company, that the 33-year-old woman from Leominster had entered a train for the purpose of travelling at Leominster station on June 19.

But the magistrates heard that she did not have a valid ticket at the time, and fined her £220 for the offence. She was also ordered to pay compensation of £7 to Transport for Wales, as well as prosecution costs of £100 and an £88 victim surcharge, which is used to help fund services supporting victims of crime.

Stuchberry, of Hawthorn Place, did not attend the hearing in person or enter a plea, and was not represented by a solicitor in court.
