COUNTY war veterans are to receive medals commemorating their military service as part of a World War II weekend.
Staff at Berrington Hall, near Leominster, will also honour one veteran for their work in the community on the weekend of June 7 and 8.
The National Trust are inviting the public to nominate a veteran from any sector of the armed forces for the Berrington Outstanding Contribution to the Local Community Award.
Send your name and contact details, the name of the veteran and your reasons for nominating to Wendy Byard, Berrington Hall, Leominster, Herefordshire HR6 0DW.
Veterans are also being asked to get in touch if they wish to be presented with a medal at the event.
A World War II Operational Base, vintage military vehicles and traditional children’s activities will be on show over the weekend.
