THE Royal National College for the Blind (RNCB) is being given a helping hand to get the most out of technology.
The Hereford college has been chosen from more than 250 applicants to receive specialist mentoring in information and communications technology from the Technology Exemplar Network.
It is one of 52 organizations chosen to benefit from specialist guidance through the network which consists of 10 colleges spread throughout the country.
The network was set up to help colleges working across England to share best practice in using technology.
The RNCB will get specialist support learning from exemplar colleges leading the way in the effective use of technology.
Jon Gamble, of the Learning and Skills Council, said: “The Technology Exemplar Network is an excellent way to share effective practice and will play a vital role in maximising the opportunities available for providers looking to enrich their students’ learning experience.” The exemplar colleges, which were set up last month, specialise in areas such as student support and information management.
