A SIX-year-old boy won a prestigious award at a major county carriage show by popular choice.
Kyle Huttel and his horse Rocky won the Hereford Times People’s Choice award at the Hereford Spring Carriage Show last Sunday.
Kyle, who attends Holmer Primary School in Hereford, won the award after members of the public had the chance to vote for their favourite.
His grandmother Lorraine Wadeley, who acted as his groom, said: “He came fourth in his class then won the People’s Choice award and had a big beam on his face.
“He has taken the award to school and has showed everybody. He is absolutely ecstatic and is still buzzing.” Despite his tender years Kyle already has a few years of experience behind him.
“He has been driving for two years and started when he was four. He chose his own carriage, which is 150-years-old,” said Ms Wadeley.
Crowds turned up to enjoy the event, run by the Hereford and District Driving Group.
