A TOP Herefordshire chef is set to join a team of leading food experts from across the Midlands at a 'Dinner of the Decade'.
Stuart Leggett, chef and owner of The Stewing Pot, in Church Street, Hereford, will be one of a number of leading chefs to cook up a 10 course dinner to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the regional food group Heart of England Fine Foods (HEFF).
The black tie dinner, dubbed the Dinner of the Decade, will be held at the Michelin starred Simpsons Restaurant in Birmingham on Saturday May 17.
The team of chefs is led by Andreas Antona, who runs Simpsons, and has designed a menu featuring ingredients from across the region including smoked trout celeriac, braised beef with parsnip mash, and strawberries and English sparkling wine jelly.
The dinner will also see the winners of HEFF’s Diamond Awards announced.
The Awards, which showcase food produced in the Midlands, features nine categories and has included entries from companies across Herefordshire and the West Midlands.
