The next whist drive will be on Tuesday, May 13, with play starting at 7.45pm. LUNCH - On Sunday, the Almeley Hall Committee will be holding another of their very popular lunches. The charge is £7.50 for adults with concessions for children. This is a three-course meal followed by tea or coffee. Bookings can be made at Ameley Post Office.
PATHFINDERS - Members of the Almeley Pathfinders toured the village collecting litter which had been strewn around the roads and pathways. In total, they collected 17 black bags of rubbish. Thanks are due to them for their efforts to keep Almeley looking tidy. On Friday, May 2, eight members of the group set off from Almeley with Andy Johnson on the first leg of his walk to Rome. Supported by a good back-up team, some of them walked the 17 miles of this stage.
