On Sunday they travelled the short distance to Kingsland where they suffered a sound defeat. Jonathon Farndon, captaining the side for the first time, skipped his rink of John Moses, Phil Lynn and Derek Bray, to a narrow victory for the visitors’ only success. Fortunes did not improve on Wednesday when Eardisland tasted defeat for the second time when they visited Presteigne, going down on all four rinks to a strong and experienced home side. The following night, Eardisland hosted St Martins and finally hit top form with a 85-47 victory, with Phil Sharp, Phil Powell and Dave Bray skipping their rinks to resounding victories. New members are still welcome to attend club nights, held every Tuesday at 6.30pm. For details, call Phil Milchard on 01544 388097.
