Hi Everybody

I am 37 years old, married with a 12 year old son and I work part-time in a well known Coffee Shop in Maylord's Shopping Centre in Hereford.

I am fundraising at the moment for Cancer Research and walking Race for Life next month at the Hereford Racecourse, in memory of my father-in-law Ron Cook.

Yesterday (Wednesday 20th) myself and my 2 R4L walking partners where in Hereford dressed up in our walk costumes, l am a Mad Fairy, Sue Marsh is an Indian Squaw and her daughter Fliss is a Hula Girl.

Firstly l must thank the Management and Staff at Maylords Shopping Centre who are absolutely brilliant !!!
They arranged parking for us, allowed us to change in their staff toilets and supplied us with a table and chairs. George one of the security staff took some photos of us in our daft outfits.
We had about an hour to kill before we could have the table, so we had a sedate ha walk around town, touring all the shops who have sponsored us to let them know where we would be, they all happily agreed to let customers know we would be by the escalators and come and say hello.
Tesco's (R4L official sponsors) sent someone down to each cashier on the tills to get them to tell customers about us.
Argo's did the same - they have been really supportive all the way!
D & A came up with some other ideas for us - which we are working on - watch this space for those.
Claires - have helped us all - especially me with our costumes.
The whole of the retail section of Hereford have been absolutely fantastic - we have had soooo! much support.

Yesterday - despite the freezing cold wind and showers - which mean't there wasn't as many people about as we had hoped for we raised £86! not bad for a couple of hours of looking like right nutcases!

This Friday (22nd) we are out in our glad rags again - so watch out for us!
We are outside Snax Cafe, Eign Gate, Hereford from 9 am - 1.30 pm. Then we will leg it through Woolies out to Gala Bingo, Berrington Street .We will be talking to people during the session interval and raising awareness of the charity and hopefully collecting some more donations.

If you are about come and say hello - it would be nice to put some faces to my readers.

anyway tatty bye for now will let you know how it goes
Sarah The Mad Fairy !!
