THE uninformed observer could be forgiven for thinking there has been a spate of emergencies at a Herefordshire nursery recently.
Visits from the police and ambulance services have been closely followed by the appearance of firefighters at the Best Be Four nursery in Much Birch.
Fortunately, there was no emergency as firefighters from Ross-on-Wye called in to talk to the three and four-year-olds about the different aspects of their job.
Sarah Davies, a supervisor at the nursery, said: “If children meet the emergency services when they are young, hopefully they won't be afraid and will know when to call them in the future.” The children were taught about safety in the home, including what to do if they heard a fire alarm and how to plan an escape route.
