WINE lovers across the county are being invited by a city pub to take part in a world record attempt.
The Kings Fee, Commercial Road, is join with fellow Wetherspoon pubs across the country in a bid to beat the record for simultaneous wine tasters, which stands at 5,100.
Kings Fee manager, Craig Pitcher, is staging the event as part of the pub’s 19-day wine festival, beginning on Wednesday, May 21.
The wine tasting will take place at the Commercial Road pub at 6pm on May 21, with customers offered a free 50ml glass of wine.
Mr Pitcher said: “This is a great opportunity for people to be part of a Guinness World Record attempt.
“I’m confident it can be beaten, with my customers playing their part.”
