CAR parking charges in Leominster are set to rise next month, apart from the long stay on Broad Street which will remain free.
The Central Area short stay car park will cost 40p an hour and charges at the Dishley Street car par will be 30p an hour. Season ticket prices will stay at £45 per quarter.
Free parking will also remain in the short-stay Etnam Street car park but is limited to three hours maximum stay.
The changes will come into force on June 2 and are the result of the first review of parking charges in Leominster since 2003.
Councillor Brian Wilcox, Herefordshire Council’s cabinet member for highways and transportation, said: "As part of our policy to encourage people to visit our market towns, we are keeping a lot of free parking in Leominster and increases are only of the order of 10p or 20p."
