NORTON BAPTIST ANNIVERSARY. Last Sunday Norton Baptist Church held its Anniversary. It was a glorious day, hot and sunny, and the little church was packed to overflowing. The Baptist Minister Reverend Jonathon Greaves welcomed everyone. The Reverend Dennis Monger, who has connections with Norton Baptist Church that go back 50 years, was the preacher and led the service. It was Ken Prosser's birthday so the congregation sang Happy Birthday. The opening hymn, 'And Can it be' with words by Charles Wesley, was sung with gusto. The hymns were accompanied by the music group - piano, violin, guitar and accordion - all together producing a joyous sound. After the service the anniversary tea was served - delicious sandwiches , cakes and tea.It was such a beautiful day that most people sat outside and enjoyed meeting and talking together.
